Job Details

The Junior Account Executive is responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by managing an assigned territory using a variety of sales methods. The Junior Account Executive will build direct relationships with business and technology leaders within organizations and work closely with his or her inside sales and engineering resources to maximize sales opportunities within the territory. This position may combine skill development within existing named accounts and is also focused on finding, cultivating, and closing opportunities with prospective and existing clients.

This position is partnered with an assigned Account Executive and the Director of Sales to provide mentorship, training, and sales support.

Position Goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 year degree preferred or sales experience in related filed
  • Facilitation and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenge of helping clients and potential customers
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no supervision
  • Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client-orientated team
  • Must be able to work with variety of personalities
  • Excellent customer service skills required

Functional Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working independently with little to no daily supervision
  • Develop detailed business plans designed to meet predetermined goals and quotas
  • Maximize product profitability by utilizing vendor promotions, incentives, and registration programs as appropriate
  • Develop product knowledge and sales skills by participation in ongoing vendor, distributor, and RMM training opportunities
  • Utilize RMM Solutions tools (e.g., ConnectWise) in order to ensure professional account management
  • Create and maintain forecast, configurations, proposals, pricing, order entry, and opportunity documentation
  • Manage inbound and outbound communications via phone, fax, and email in a professional and timely manner
  • Qualify prospects to meet RMM customer profile
  • Qualify opportunities by identifying pain, budget, decision and timeline criteria
  • Complete solution design surveys and required documentation for proper solutions design/presales engineering
  • Proactively recommend appropriate business-enabling products and solutions to meet client needs and objectives
  • Prospect for new clients by developing assigned SQLs, building lead sharing and referral sources
  • Conduct reoccurring customer meetings onsite or via phone to grow customer relationships, upsell and cross-sell
  • Resolve client complaints in a fast and friendly manner and follow up to ensure client satisfaction
  • Complete contract forms, prepare quotes and proposals
  • Attend and participate in project kick-off meetings
  • Participate in ongoing project meetings as needed
  • Provide support to project management during implementations as needed
  • Create, update and maintain an accurate and up to date forecast in ConnectWise
  • Create and maintain customer database and activities in ConnectWise weekly
  • Attend shows and events
  • Develop and maintain distributor/manufacturer territory relationships
  • Create, develop and maintain a territory using methods such as:
  • Cold Calling
  • Marketing Campaigns
  • Email Campaigns
  • Attending business development events
  • Asking for referrals
  • Attending business specific trade shows
  • Attend/coordinate customer social events as required

Travel Requirements

  • Travel expected 25% of the time, which may include overnight stays
